Quick, flavorful and healthy is kind of the golden trio for a meal. Our newest collaborator Tamanna Shah created a super tasty Indian seafood recipe packed with deep notes of curry leaf and tomato. Using your seven Indian Spice starter kit, you can get this dish ready in a flash and be dreaming of flavor for days to come.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat ghee or oil in a pot, and sauté onion purée until golden.

  2. Add curry leaves, ginger, garlic and green chili. Sauté until fragrant.

  3. Add the tomato purée and cook until oil separates from the mix. Be sure to keep stirring so mixture doesn’t stick to the bottom. 

  4. Add turmeric, cumin, red chili, garam masala and salt to taste. Stir and cook for a minute or two, then add sugar, vinegar and the shrimp. Cook just until shrimp is no longer pink - about 2 minutes tops - and remove from heat. 

  5. Stir in cilantro and serve hot with rice and/or your choice of bread.
